Hey hey. So I guess I haven’t really been feeling too well the past week or so and thus there’s been a lack of blogging on my behalf. Maybe a stomach virus or something? I don’t really know. But anyways, blogging hasn’t really been a top priority and I just wanted to direct this to anybody who may be following this blog. If any at all. HA. Anyway… Update on my life. All has been good. Jasper arrives in officially ten days… SO incredibly excited. If you haven’t read the little about me section below, Jasper is the love of my whole life! …In case you didn’t know. Haha. College is starting again in about two weeks which I can hardly wait for. Goddamn this has been the longest break ever. I miss having actual classes and work to do. I might even crash a couple more classes when college begins. Maybe take five? We’ll see. Oh and lastly, my family from NYC are arriving mid-February. I’m so incredibly excited for each and every one of these things to happen! AHHHHH.

Oh hayyy shoez.

Tell me, is it really necessary to go to such strenuous and ludicrous lengths to try and prove a point? You fail miserably and it’s simply embarrassing. You speak so highly of yourself yet display the moral fortitude of a person with absolutely no self-value. Have some pride and self-appreciation. Next time try to be a little less obvious. Your sociopathetic tendencies are visibly apparent and your hidden agendas completely lack in subtlety.
Akon and Keri Hilson have successfully collaborated to create this beautiful charity single, “Oh Africa,” with intentions to raise awareness about the poverty and constant struggle most Africans are forced to endure. This song is set debut at the 2010 Grammys on Sunday night and the proceeds from this song will go to the underprivileged African youth as well as Akon and Keri Hilson’s chosen charities.
This song is truly beautiful and its really refreshing to hear two hip hop artists singing about something other than alcohol, girls and clubs. Ha. The lyrics to this song are incredibly close to my heart since this is my home country and I’ve heard and actually seen everything that goes on. Props to Keri Hilson and Akon for doing something so inspiring!
So it’s super late and I’m just about to head to bed but I HAD write this post about a artist that I literally haven’t been able to stop listening to. His name is J.Cole, a rapper and producer that has received a LOT of exposure after recently becoming the first artist to be signed to Jay-Z’s record label, Roc Nation. People have now become extremely interested in his work and a lot of attention has been brought to his two mixtapes, “The Warm Up” and “The Come Up.” These two mixtapes were actually released in late 2007 and 2009 however haven’t received proper recognition till now. I’ve yet to listen to “The Warm Up” but I have no doubt it’s brilliant.
I’ve fallen in love with his voice and beats. He has a comparable flow to WIz Khalifa and a lyrical approach a little similar to Drake. There’s been a serious amount of hype about his music recently so I finally decided to check him out for myself and I’m so glad I did. This mixtape is the absolute truth. Check him out for yourself! (And pay special attention to track thirteen. I LOVE this remix! It’s based off of Lonnie Smith’s, “A Garden of Peace.” Not as good as Jay-Z’s though. Ha)

I can’t tell if I really love these or not? I feel like something’s off perhaps? What do you think?

My life everyday.

Actual smoke itself is beautiful… however I don’t condone smoking in any way… Just saying’

It’s the Louis Vuitton Limited Edition Stephen Sprouse Leopard scarf! …Although it’s definitely sold out by now since I believe it came out two years ago…? Not too sure. Anyways, I was never a huge fan of this since in person it was absolutely HUGE… Huge to the point where it looked like you were wearing a blanket. Muy inconvenient.

These furry Ashish for Topshop Leopard Print Platform Wedges absolutely repulse me. The black ones are fine. Actually they’re more than fine. But God… The animal prints looks so incredibly tasteless and tacky I can’t even handle it. I can’t possibly imagine how these have become so popular. The only way you MIGHT be able to rock these would be a LATE and DARK night out in New York City…. Walking around wearing these on the streets of Los Angeles would be the ultimate tour of shame.

I’m so in love with CFCF, also known as Mike Silver. He’s a Canadian electronica artist who creates the most amazing chillout tracks… SO good!!
